This might be political, unless with the consultation of the Senators from the tea growing areas. So, governors may end up nominating their political cronies. I think it is also wise to consult the Senators from the tea growing areas when nominating these people. view

It is so ridiculous that when it comes to the tea industry, especially marketing, imagine it is not the farmers who determine the price but the cartels and the buyers. There was a time when my County, Bomet County, paid three months in advance but the drugs were delayed for six months. That is a serious thing. When they do that, they will establish that some counties have paid in advance but the drugs are not supplied. When we go to the counties, we find people complaining that the painkillers are not even there. We should not be defensive; instead, we should conduct a research and find out the truth that should be tabled in this House. view

May I just say that the way the Vice Chairperson behaves shows very well that we are headed nowhere if this is the Committee that will investigate this matter. The Committee is sick and cannot investigate this issue on health. I suggest formation of an ad hoc committee to assist us on this matter. view
