Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. If you look at the whole budget, you will realise that we are actually giving the Ministry of Education close Kshs500 billion. If you look at the allocation that we have made to the State Department for Education, you will find that it is Kshs114 billion. If you look at Post Training and Skills Development Department, you will find that it is about Kshs200 million. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I rise to plead with my sisters to oppose this particular amendment, considering where we have come from and where we want to go as a country. We have been in this House from 2010 attempting to come up with a procedure on how to fill up this House with at least a third of the other gender. Hon. Chairman, as much as the Chair, Departmental Committee on Education and Research is trying to change his figures, what we have on the Order Paper and which this House is seized of in his proposed amendment is Kshs22 billion. He cannot change it here by himself. It cannot happen!

Yes. Hon. Ichung’wah has reduced it from Kshs22,530,102,734 to Kshs18,230,102,734. So, as we speak, there is no Kshs22 billion. We are at Kshs18 billion and Hon.
