  • 20 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, about two years ago, the Government through its budget indicated that it would provide an ambulance to each and every constituency in this country. Two years down the line, I have not seen any ambulance in Mathioya. When will the Assistant Minister make sure that all the constituencies are provided with ambulances that were promised? view

  • 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also stand to support the Motion. I first want to congratulate my brother, Dr. Otichillo, because of his good work and this small piece of policy that he is trying to get in place, especially at this time when the Constitution gives Kenyans the right to access any information that they require. view
  • 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: We have a lot of research work that has been done in this country. Very many good documents have come from the universities and other research groups, but because of the way that information has been stored, Kenyans have not been able to get access to it. However, I believe if that information is stored in the system that is being proposed, we will be in a position to utilize that information to the maximum. view
  • 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: In terms of agriculture, we have a rich country, but unfortunately, many of us are not able to use land we have because we do not know what type of soil is in our farms. Every time we want to do anything, we have to go through a very long process, like going to the test laboratories in the Ministry of Agriculture and so on. That information could have been stored in a system a long time ago in such a way that one would only be required to access the website to know, say, what type of crops to ... view
  • 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: With those few words, I beg to support. view
  • 29 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, having listened to the Assistant Minister, I think he is still not in touch with what is happening on the ground. The shortage of doctors in our country is because of the poor conditions they work under. Could the Assistant Minister tell us how many qualified doctors we have employed in a hospital like Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH)? Could he also confirm that the people providing medical services at KNH are actually students from the universities and not doctors who are on the payroll? view
  • 29 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I had requested for a Ministerial Statement on Wednesday last week and I had been promised that I would get the Statement today from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. view
  • 29 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I think it could come earlier the better. However, if he insists on one week, that should be alright. We can expect the Statement on Wednesday, next week? view
  • 23 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, we have very many cases pending in courts these days due to the shortage of prosecutors and even magistrates. What is the Ministry doing to increase the number of magistrates in this country to cater for the cases that are pending in courts? They need to increase the transition rate of students from the University of Nairobi who are taking up the relevant course at the Kenya School of Law. view
