  • 16 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Hon. Speaker. view
  • 16 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. I rise on a point of order. As a matter of fact, there are generals who have been employed by the Government in the recent years. They have been doing a good job. There are thousands of institutions in this country and those generals have shown that those from the military are professionals and have delivered in those dockets. We must be grateful rather than saying they do not deserve to be employed. They are part of the larger body of Kenyans and they deserve to be employed. view
  • 16 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, for Hon. Wetangula to say that the Jubilee Government is militarising Government appointments, he is out of order. view

  • 26 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support this Bill. We, in this House, must pass laws that will stand the test of time. We must reason using our heads, and not our hearts. It is important for us to realise that women are a major constituency of this Republic. Women are our daughters, mothers, sisters and wives. People are stealing Kenyan taxpayers’ money. They are comfortable wherever they are. This House should not accept that. view
  • 4 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: The KQ is the image of this country. In recent weeks, we visited Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi as the Departmental Committee on Defence and Foreign Relations and it is cheaper to fly in the East African Region using Air Rwanda or Ethiopian Airlines. Even Kenyans who live in the Diaspora - Tanzania, Burundi or Rwanda cannot afford KQ fares to Nairobi. They have to connect through Addis Ababa or through Dar es Salaam to get to Nairobi. As Kenyans, they feel they should promote their airline by flying KQ, but if the difference in fare between Air Rwanda, Ethiopian Airlines ... view
  • 1 Sep 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. I rise to add my voice to that Petition. This Petition regards security. What we keep on seeing nowadays is confusing. Is it the counties which are responsible for security or the national Government authorities in those counties? This is because in the County of Marsabit where I come from, people are gradually taking over security duties of the national Government by coming up with something called “conservancies”. Then, they are placing the KPRs in those conservancies. For me, that is like militarising those counties or areas. The national Government must take responsibility. It ... view
