Many farmers and institutions which were established using coffee money have been in debt all along. They have been servicing very expensive debts. When the crop failed, many institutions were left with many debts and the burden was thrown to farmers. This has become a big problem in many institutions and some SACCOs collapsed. There should be a framework on how somebody is disciplined and dismissed from work which should take due course, not just taking disciplinary action and dismissing a person. This is because they suffer psychologically and the family members also suffer. Maybe, he is the breadwinner of his family and extended family. I appreciate the efforts of the Chairman and his Committee on the issue of the Murera Gate-Meru National Park Road. This road, as my brother, Hon. Muthomi Njuki, has said, connects the main road to Maua with the Meru National Park, which is a very important facility in this country. The road was tarmacked over 15 years ago and it has never been repaired in any way. In that connection, tourists have stopped going to Meru National Park. The park is almost closing down.
