So, we need to raise the amounts of money that goes into the NG-CDF and especially for bursaries. With the current allocation of Kshs25 million, many children do not go to school despite a very fair distribution. • 5 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: There is an acting CEO. The board has been operating with the bare minimum of Principal Secretaries of the respective ministries who are nominated. That has delayed a lot of management issues. I believe the ministry in charge of planning and also the National Treasury are now working with a substantive CEO. • 5 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: Emergency funding, money on sports and environment is quite minimal, but in any occasions, we have emergencies happening in the constituencies. I believe it should be configured in a way that when there is an emergency like a school roof is blown off or there is flooding in a constituency, the team on the ground and the PMCs should move faster and mitigate the emergency as soon as possible. We are in an international system and the use of drugs has to be standardised all over the world. The “good manufacturing practice” quoted is already catered for by the Kenya Bureau of Standards and other systems in Kenya, which support it. view

The NG-CDF, as has been said by other Members of Parliament, is the most effective way of developing grassroots in this country. The structure is such that there is a project management committee for every project which is undertaken by NG-CDF. There is also a board. So, that explains why we have had some issues with funds accounts managers and why the new Members found themselves sharing funds accounts managers with neighbouring constituencies. It can really be a challenge for a funds accounts managers. Remember also, from the presentation yesterday, the funds accounts manager is the AIE holder and the one responsible for the monies which goes to every constituency in the country. • 27 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: ensure that every home has seedlings and work with the county government departments dealing with environment. I am sure the case is different in other places but environment is very critical. In future we need to increase the role of the NG-CDF on environment because it works directly with the communities. I am sure we can increase trees in the country and improve the weather because conservation of the environment is now a worldwide concern and it is good when we have enough trees for clean air and for use in construction. • 27 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: When it comes to sports we have a small percentage of monies allocated to it from the NG-CDF. In our case, we have only managed to do a sports equipment. I am sure it is different depending on the activity undertaken in different constituencies and regions in the country. It becomes clear that sports can be very useful and a form of employment. view
