8 Oct 2020 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I beg to seek your indulgence on a few things. It is now almost one year since I brought a few amendments to various legislations and they have gone through the respective stages. Two have gone through the Budget and Appropriations Committee and they gave their nod, but I have not seen any progress up to date yet time is not on our side. One of them is on the National Construction Authority Act. We have given youths opportunity to work, but they are impended by some of the provisions in the National Construction Authority ...

29 Sep 2020 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I want to join my colleagues especially Hon. Otiende Amollo. It is important for us to realise that the ranking… I was ranked position No.235 and I accept that position. Sometimes it is good for Members of Parliament to accept some realities on the ground. Now I understand, from the experts like Hon. (Dr.) Chris Wamalwa, about the parameters that are being used when doing a research. That changes my perception on what the opinion polls are all about. However, I totally agree with what the Leader of the Majority Party has brought up that it ...

17 Sep 2020 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I wanted to ask, just before we were doing Questions, what is the role of the Committee on Implementation on matters of asking Questions where Questions have been answered by respective ministries and commitments have been done by the Executive and it is never taken up? I would want you to give a directive on what the role of the Committee on Implementation is on commitments given by the Executive and it is not done. I am saying this because I have asked a number of Questions which have been answered. A particular one was ...

30 Jul 2020 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. First, I thank the Committee for bringing this amendment. The amendment as it is talks about information but it does not give timelines. Is it quarterly, half yearly or yearly? I think it is important for us to know. Sometimes as we seek for accountability and other things, it is up to the Committee to be clear with the information that they need and the timelines. There is not much information that will be given after a long time yet, a mess has already been done. So, we wish to have a period under ...
