15 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, they said that it was a Cabinet decision. So, I expect the Minister for Lands to have been involved in any decision by the Cabinet to demolish property. If he was not, I withdraw. I have very limited time; let me finish. Even as the Minister is denying this, I have seen a Gazette Notice signed in his Ministry purporting to revoke titles of properties which were approved by the Ministry in the first instance. Be that as it may, It is a culture of this Government, which I belong to, to demolish properties belonging ...

8 Nov 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like my senior, the Minister for Public Works to respond because I think it will be more appropriate. I am here really in my capacity as the Assistant Minister for Defence because the Ministry of State for Defence has some interest in this. So, I think it is not entirely correct that Ministries that are represented are not here.

11 Oct 2011 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity. I want to say that I support this Bill for one reason. For many years I have been very concerned about the manner in which the Government administers pensions for the public service. This House will recall that during the last Parliament I sponsored a Bill in this House to amend Sections 19 and 16 of the Pensions Act, Cap.189. Hon. Members are aware that most of their time has in the past been spent sorting out issues of pensioners, issues of those who do not receive their pensions on ...

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me an opportunity to contribute to this very important Motion. I want to support the Motion. I understand that the Committee has done a commendable job and would like to thank them for the work that they have done. I understand that this is the second time that they are requesting for an extension and I can appreciate the enormous responsibility that they have to complete this task.

7 Sep 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, having said that, it should not be lost to observers that it is now going to four years since people were displaced, particularly those who were affected by the political violence of 2007/2008. When you travel across Rift Valley, you will see tents which are already torn but people are living in. Those people have been living in those tents for a very long time. The image of this nation is at stake and has been at stake since those people have been camping there. Two days ago, torrential rains in Naivasha and Gilgil washed ...

1 Sep 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I had stood earlier on! This Question was answered by the Minister on the 17th of August, 2011. It was completed and the Member only wanted the Minister to produce postmortem documents of the deceased soldiers. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have these documents and if you allow me, I will lay them on the Table or, since the Questioner is not there, we can drop the Question.
