• 25 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, the Second Schedule be amended in paragraph 1— (a) by deleting subparagraph (1) and substituting therefor the following new subparagraph— “(1) The Board shall meet at most twelve times in every financial year and not more than three months shall elapse between the date of one meeting and the date of the next meeting.” (b) by deleting the word “Commission” in subparagraph (7) and substituting therefor the word “Board”. This one is limiting the maximum number of Board meetings. view

However, what was appearing in hon. Jakoyo’s Bill was that if you cause death by dangerous driving, you will be sentenced to life imprisonment. We said that is too harsh. view

So, what we are saying is that if the speed limit is 50 KPH, for example, if the violation is by more than 20 KPH, then that is a crime. So, by “more than”, we mean speed above the recommended speed limit. view
