  • 18 Nov 2015 in National Assembly: We also have two Bills from the Senate; the Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bill No.24 of 2014). The second one is the National Youth Service (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bill No.26 of 2014). The reports of these two Bills were tabled before this House yesterday. So, we are waiting for them to appear on the Order Paper. On petitions, we have two. One is by Caston Kamaru Githinji on the delay of his retirement benefits.   • 18 Nov 2015 in National Assembly: The fifth visit was on the Special Olympics 2015 Summer Games in Los Angeles, USA held from 25th June to 2nd July. The sixth visit was made to the World Youth Championships in Cali Colombia from 15th to 23rd of July. These six reports have been concluded and adopted by the Committee and have been forwarded to the Directorate. view
  • 18 Nov 2015 in National Assembly: We also have the Developments of Inclusion and Equity Policies Conference that was held in Norway between 11th and 19th April. We also had the 14th Session of the Convention of Rights of Persons with Disabilities held in Geneva in August and the 15th World Athletics Championships held in Beijing, China in August. We also attended the All Africa Games held in Brazzaville, Congo between 2nd and 20th September, 2015. The four Reports have been concluded but have not yet been adopted by the Committee. Once they are adopted, we will pass them over. view

Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 3 of the Bill be amended by— (a) deleting the words “Kenyan youth” and substituting therefor the word “Kenyans” in paragraph(b); (b) deleting the words “the youth” and substituting therefor the word “ Kenyans” in paragraph (c); (c) deleting the word “youth” and substituting therefor the word “Kenyans” in paragraph (d); (d) deleting the word “youth” and substituting therefor the word “Kenyans” in paragraph (e); (e) deleting the words “ so far as employment of the youth is concerned” and substituting therefor the words “ in matters of employment” view
