This is because a statement is also a way that Members can request for information. I do not think it is right for him to say that he cannot write to the National Treasury or any other Ministry to obtain information. He can write to the Controller of Budget and ask for the Statement I have requested for, because they should be having the pending bills for all the counties in this country. If I remember very well, I was among the first people in the Chamber and the Senate Majority Leader requested for permission to read a Statement, and the Order on Petition was skipped. When I spoke to the Speaker, he said that we will come back to it. So, to when are we deferring it? Kindly give us direction. view
