Even in our rural areas, majority of Kenyans do not understand what COVID-19 is all about, yet there is a lot of money going to the counties, especially for capacity building and emergency response to take care of the current situation in our country. view

When there was the first case in Isiolo County of an old man who was found positive, his photo and identification number were taken and his family members were listed and displayed on social media. That is illegal. It is interfering with the rights of the citizens of this country. Even after he tested negative, he has not come out of that up to date. We need to do something as a country and as a Senate to sensitise Kenyans about this pandemic. Isolation centres in this country are nothing to go by. ... view

This is because of the current situation in the country, we need to pass this Bill and also be able to utilize the budget. It is equally a very important Bill.
