  • 30 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, listening to the Assistant Minister answer the question, it sounds like a story from a best seller book. Now that we know that Kenyans who think that they have got greener pastures outside are suffering as much as the two individuals we are hearing about, could the Assistant Minister inform the House what the Government is doing to ensure that Kenyans are advised that conditions are not as rosy as they think in countries such as the ones we are talking about? view
  • 18 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it seems that fresh produce markets have problems in the whole country, including in my constituency, Alego Usonga. Could the Assistant Minister inform the House what he is doing to ensure that the construction of fresh produce markets in the whole country is sorted out, because there seems to be a big problem that he is not telling us? view
  • 17 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I would like to get one or two clarifications from the Assistant Minister. In his statement, I did not hear properly whether the Kshs8 billion will also be used for procuring rigs. The reason for that is that, at the moment, geothermal needs more capacity. To be able to drill and cover all parts of Kenya, including Baringo, Turkana, Homa Bay and all those areas, definitely, we need to procure more rigs. Using rigs belonging to the Chinese is very expensive. Will the Assistant Minister ensure that most of those funds will be used ... view
  • 9 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the Assistant Minister to mislead the House that they will help the Union to sell the properties of African Safari Club Ltd, whereas it is in the public domain that African Safari Club Ltd disposed of their assets a long time ago? view

  • 9 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Following on my point of order, would it be in order for the Assistant Minister to table a list of those assets that are still being sold so that, at least, we know that the Union has something to hold on? view
  • 15 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Going by the mood of the House would it be in order to ask the Mover to reply? view
  • 31 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister accept or deny that the Kenya Government gave Migingo Island as a present to the President of Uganda? view
  • 11 May 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me an opportunity to contribute to this very important Motion by Mr. Ababu Namwamba. view
  • 11 May 2011 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I think the biggest problem we have in this country is that we have a Government which is in a crisis. We have a Government which is pulling from different directions because of the coalition. We have a situation where the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and, most of the time, we spend a lot of time in political fights instead of governing this country. view
