  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Order, Prof. Olweny! Do not go that way. It is a fact and all of us are Members of the DEB. Could you respond to the issue? view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Order, Mr. Gaichuhie! I think you have been clear. view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Order, Assistant Minister! I think you are really trying to be very evasive this morning. The hon. Member for Subukia says that the candidate had a result slip which he used to enroll for another course and incurred expenses but he learnt about it two years down the road. So, I would have imagined your task would have been to try to find out if that is the correct position. If that is the correct position, then the Ministry has some responsibility. What will you do in the circumstance? I think that is what the hon. Member is asking you ... view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: But Prof. Olweny, you have just tabled the result slip. The individual subject grades are there. I suspected as you tabled it, you had also looked at it yourself to satisfy yourself according to the question by the hon. Member. I, therefore, rule that this Question comes back next week because I do not think you have satisfied the supplementary questions. Wednesday, next week--- view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Order, Assistant Minister! You have just been asked a question and you admitted you have no capacity. So, I want to give you more time in order to acquire that capacity and then you will come back with full capacity next week. A ruling has been made. The Question will appear on the Order Paper on Wednesday morning. view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Next Question, the Member for Mutito! view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Last question. view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Order all of you! The Chair agrees with the Assistant Minister that this Question has actually been answered, in the sense that there is no money budgeted for it because they are doing the designs. You will find another way of bringing the matter if you are so desirous. Next Question, Member for Mosop! view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Prime Minister:- (a) How many official trips has the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister undertaken to Turkana County since his appointment? (b) What tangible development projects have been borne out of these trips, including the project name, (if any), and commencement date? view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Prime Minister for making those four visits. As you have heard, a few projects that he promised the people of Turkana County are on course, but he also made more promises. Now he comes here to tell us that he is not engaged in siasa mbaya, maisha mabaya . He needs to own up that he is a politician. While he performs his official duties, once in a while, he also engages in politics. However, I do not want to go that way. view
