  • 18 Apr 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this very important Motion. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, first of all, we know that the farmers were the owners of KCC sometime back when it was started, until1997/1998 when it was run down. Later on, it was returned as New KCC. We remember that the farmers were not even paid for their milk deliveries in 1997 and 1998. We support this Motion that is on the Floor because we know its importance and how the farmers have benefited from KCC historically. We know that even the ... view

A stalled building which has stayed in that state for more than 20 years is also a risk; some of them are more than three stories; I think they are also becoming a risk to the residents of Kapsabet. We also want an assurance that these ... view
  • 15 Feb 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, according to the Minister’s answer, he says that in March, 2007, they started working on the stalled projects on the side of technical documentation. However, it has taken five years before anything has been done. The Minister has told us that in the next financial year’s Budget, these projects will be considered. How sure can we if he started them in 2007 and yet nothing has happened? view
  • 21 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank hon. Gitobu Imanyara for raising this issue. The Government says that it has taken extra measures. However, when you walk around you will realize that there is free entry into all public buildings that the Kenyans use. Even vehicles are entering basement parking lots without serious security checks. Could the Government confirm whether or not they have seconded security officers to all public buildings in Kenya to ensure that Kenyans are secure? view
