  • 19 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: The City of Eldoret, where I come from has been rebranded. It is now called “the City of Champions”. Why is this so? It is because of these athletes. As my colleague said earlier on, there are many athletes in this country, and if proper census is done by the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Arts--- If the athletes are given more events to participate in, they can rise to the occasion; where I come from, the market is saturated.   • 12 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. As the Mover of the Motion has said, we have shortage of nurses and clinical officers in this country. In my constituency, Turbo, we have quite a number of facilities built using the Constituencies Development Fund, but up to today they are not operational, because there is lack of enough personnel to serve those facilities. As the Government provides free maternity services, there is a problem. I believe most expectant mothers used to deliver at their homes, but now that there is free maternity service offered by the Government. It means most expectant mothers ... view
