  • 26 Feb 2025 in Senate: when the Cabinet Secretary was responding to questions about SHA on the Floor. That goes to show the contempt with which this Ministry treats this House. view
  • 26 Feb 2025 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, if that is the case, then--- view
  • 26 Feb 2025 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, he can inform me later. If that is the case, then it is terrible. Let us arrange to have a meeting of the Committee of the Whole so that we engage with this Cabinet Secretary. view
  • 26 Feb 2025 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, choices have consequences. The Cabinet Secretary must know who should sit next to her when she is responding to specific questions. You can never have a Cabinet Secretary surrounded by other officials of the Ministry when the CEO of the institution that you are questioning is seated in the Gallery. That is as simple as it gets. The chairs would have been occupied by the first CEO of the SHA, and then the rest of the officials would have taken the rest of the chairs. Thank you for the information. view

That coalition has leadership. The person on the Floor is the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate. So, if anybody in the leadership will table that paper on behalf of Sen. Hamida, then it has to be tabled from the right side. Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale cannot be part of the scheme--- view
  • 19 Feb 2025 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker. I want to pick your cue and welcome students and teachers from Kamugongo Secondary School in Mwingi North Constituency and tell them that this is where leaders in this country exchange ideas and build the nation. What they are witnessing is just a small matter. I am very disappointed with my neighbour, friend and brother, Sen. Gataya. You owe those children and their teachers an apology. Mr. Deputy Speaker, when you called on me to invite and welcome the students, Sen. Gataya spoke from his seat in Kiswahili and he said, “ Wako na njaa ... view
  • 19 Feb 2025 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, let us close that matter. Sen. Gataya has apologised. We accept his apology, but do not accept a cent-- view
