  • 20 Aug 2024 in Senate: As we wish Douglas Kanja well in the service, I want to remind him of a few things. Following the enactment of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, the police force then was changed into a Service. Under that Service, it recreated the office of the IG of Police. Article 243 up to Article 245 of the Constitution, details the establishment of the office, the functions of the office, and the Service command. view
