Kavindu on the disastrous effects of flooding in Machakos County and beyond. It is clear to everyone in this country now that the El Nino phenomenon is still active. The resultant effects of this phenomenon are manifesting in heavy downpours followed by floods, loss of livelihoods and loss of lives. Madam Temporary Speaker, beyond Machakos, the Seven Forks Dams, including Masinga, Kamburu, Kiambere, Mutonga and Kindaruma are filling up at a very fast rate.
