• 2 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: on is the qualification for teachers. We must admit that it has been haywire. You find that they are qualified in other areas and in other areas, they are not. What they are paid is different from one constituency to another. It was a total mess. Given that this is the foundation of our children, it is important that all these are aligned so that we standardise the qualification and the salaries that are going to be paid to the teachers. view

In the year 2020, the Ministry of Education constituted a technical committee to look into the cost of educating a child in public primary school in Kenya. The findings of the team will be used to advise the Government to review the rate of the funding towards free primary education. view
