Florence Kajuju

Florence was at one point the vice chairperson of Law Society of Kenya (LSK). During her campaigns she overcame all odds to win against the strong Alliance Party of Kenya (APK) wave in her backyard. The impetus to seek a platform to represent the people of Meru was created by the pro bono cases she undertook in the years she practiced law in Meru.

  • 9 May 2017 in National Assembly: I also support the other amendments because most of them are ordinary amendments that do not go to any effect in as far as the application of the law to mwananchi is concerned. This is a good amendment and I support it across the board. I support the Bill and the amendments. view

  • 6 Apr 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. It is important that I comment on this Motion being the Chair of the Committee on Regional Integration. I have interacted with the East African Community and I know that the motto is to integrate deeply and widely. We expect the persons who have been nominated for these positions to be committed to the integration process and to be knowledgeable on the issues that support the East African process especially the four pillars that bind the East African Community. I am just begging that political parties look at the nominees who will deliver the integration ... view

  • 5 Apr 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, for recognising the importance of the Meru nation. Having just benefited from Ksh1.2 billion from the President, I stand to support the great people of North Eastern and other areas. I congratulate the Departmental Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperatives for doing a very good job. It is important that we bring on board the issue of marketing promotion. Livestock is not just about rearing cows and goats, but also about markets. I believe the Chair wants to bring on board the fact that we must do everything for value addition and ensure that ... view
