Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, what I said is that we are registering Kenyans. In border areas, and in areas where there is doubt, we are forced to form vetting committees. As I said earlier, the idea is to be as fairer as possible. We are not discriminating anybody. So, in our view, as a Ministry, vetting is necessary to protect Kenyans from non-Kenyans.

House but it could not work. So, we are in the process of identifying a suitable location. In the meantime, I want to assure the hon. Member that the website will continue operating. It was not revitalised because of the Question. So, we are going to do it. Secondly, within a period of three months, we should be able to not only find a suitable location for the customer care desk, but also do the necessary wiring and have the technological gadgets fixed, so that we can continue with customer dare desk services.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we will try and do what the hon. Member has suggested at some registration centre within Nairobi. We will look into the possibility of having such services, say, in Westlands or at any of the eight registration centres that we have in Nairobi.

I now beg to answer:- (a) I am aware that there are many youths across the country, including Wajir South that have not yet registered for identity cards. (b) The number of identity cards issued to Wajir South Constituency as per registration records from 2008 to 16th of May, this year are as follows: Diff Division in 2008 registered 410, in Habaswein we registered 930, Sabuli we registered, 1470 and total for that year was 2810. In 2009, we registered 345 for Diff, 738 for Habaswein and 632 for Sabuli, total 1715. In 2010, we registered 96 for Diff, 387 ...

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the figures we have here are figures of those who were not only registered but were issued with the cards. This year as I have read there, we have registered a total of 1012.

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is true that sometimes we do registration, but it takes time to do the processing and distributing the identity cards to the owners. These figures here are of those who were not only registered, but have their identity cards issued to them.
