  • 28 Oct 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, the Mining law that we are repealing today was enacted in the 1940s when we were part of Her Majesty’s Government. That is where we are, as a nation, when it comes to the mining industry. I am really happy that many years later, we have done this. We even went as far as getting professional advice and expertise to ensure we understand the Constitution because water is largely a devolved function.
