  • 11 Aug 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for that intervention. The total Recurrent net to be provided from the Ex-chequer is Kshs1.4 billion. A major component of this net expenditure is salaries which amount to Kshs1.1 billion. The balance of Kshs286.7 million is to be allocated to operations and maintenance which, when combined with the total Appropriations-in-Aid of Kshs79.2 million, gives a total of Kshs365.9 million to be expended by the Ministry for operations and maintenance.
