  • 21 Feb 2019 in Senate: Concerning the gazette notice, I want to state that it is an irony of the highest order that a gazette notice authorized the importation of maize in July or October, when we had a bumper harvest; and farmers were looking for a market for their produce. There is need to investigate why the Inter-Ministerial Committee did this. There is need also for corruption to be brought to an end.
