Madam Temporary Speaker, I thank you very much for this opportunity. I want to thank Sen. Sakaja for coming up with this Statement. Sen. Sakaja is usually very sensitive about issues to do with women. He has many a times been articulating issues of the girl-child, women and the vulnerable in this country. I am happy that the issue of harassment of women has come to his attention and that he has brought it to the Floor of this House. This was a very unfair act that was meted on this woman. Madam Temporary Speaker, Sen. (Dr.) Ochillo-Ayacko is a very good friend of mine and he sits next to me. I want to clarify to him that when it comes to issues of women in this House, legislative issues are the issues I am talking about. Sen. Sakaja has come out strongly to defend the position of women. It has to really go straight in the HANSARD that the issues we are talking about are legislative matters in this country.

Thank you very much Sen. Sakaja, Baba Emily has spoken. The act was very inhumane and callous. That act should be condemned in every way. The law must take its course so that the actions becomes an example to other boda boda operators. The boda boda industry is rich. It is helping our young people but it is unfortunate that a few people want to ferment that industry. The undressing of that lady was a very callous and inhuman act.
