Hon. Members, I wish to convey the decision of the 22nd Session of the ACP-EU JPA of 23rd November, 2011 that hon. Musikari Kombo, EGH, MP was elected as the next President of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly and consequently next Co-President of the ACP-EU JPA. The announcement was made at the conclusion of the 22nd Session with took place in Lome, Togo. The representative of the Kenya Parliament will hold this position for the next two years. The hon. Kombo joins European Union (EU) MP, Louis Michelle from Belgium to form the Presidium of the Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA).

Affey, and, indeed, His Excellency Kembi-Gitura, Kenya’s Ambassador to Belgium and the EU for their roles in seeking and consolidating support for Kenya.
