Gladys Wanga

Gladys grew up in a political family. Her father the late John Nyasuna, was a councillor and chairperson of Kisumu County Council. Gladys emulated him and developed interest in politics at an early age. In 2003, when at Kenyatta University she became the first female to be elected as the Secretary General of the Student’s Union. After University she remained active in politics and engaged in ODM party politics while still working in LVCT Health. In her term of service, she seeks empowerment of women and youth and education for the girl child. In parliament, Gladys spearheaded the formation of the Information and Public Communication committee.

Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Bill be amended in Section 69 by inserting the following Subsection immediately after Subsection (1)- “(1A) Notwithstanding Subsection (1), every project agreement shall make provision for the revenue sharing mechanisms and thresholds between a private party and the Government, where a project’s revenue performance meets and exceeds the target return on investment negotiated under a project agreement.” view

Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Bill be amended in Clause 72(1) (e) by deleting the word “periodic” and substituting therefore the word “bi-annual”. This is just removing the word “periodic” because it means almost nothing and replacing it with the word “bi-annual” so that it is definite. I beg to move. view
