  • 12 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, because of the hostility, I withdraw. But I have a right to speak as a Member of this House! No other hon. Member can stop me from talking! view
  • 12 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, for preserving my 3916 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES September 12, 2007 constitutional rights as the hon. Member for Kisumu Town East. Allow me to differ with my colleagues in this House. Today, the shoe is worn on the other side and the voting machine is on this side. We are doing a lot of untold damage--- view

  • 12 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, if I have offended anyone, then I apologise profusely. I wish to oppose this amendment because I do not see what is wrong with recovering money stolen from the poor people of Kenya. My heart and conscience would not be clear if I sided with anybody who opposes a law that would help people recover what has been stolen from them and belongs to them by right? I beg to oppose. view

  • 11 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, with due respect to the Chair, the Committee of Supply, in which we have been all along, has been debating the entire budgetary allocation for each Ministry. Although we approved a Vote on Account, a half of the Budget earlier on, the record must be straight that we are approving the entire Budget for all the Ministries named 3802 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES September 11, 2007 in the Order Paper; the amount includes the one half of the Budget that we approved on Vote on Account previously. view
  • 11 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: No! No! No! view
  • 11 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, allow me to raise my concern that only a paltry Kshs210 million is given to a Ministry supposed to fast-track the East African Federation. As you know, I host the headquarters of the Lake Victoria Commission. I would like it to be given more money, so that it can work towards the federation. view
