  • 7 Jun 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, with such a good answer, may I take this opportunity to apologise to the Minister for yesterday's incident where I said that he was in the gym. I have established that he was actually in Garissa. Having made that apology, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for offering food to the affected families. But there were schools that were destroyed. We have spent over Kshs250,000 of CDF money on emergency programmes and it is not enough. Could the Minister assist by obtaining iron sheets from some organisations? view

  • 31 May 2006 in National Assembly: to ask the Minister of State, for Public Service:- (a) Is the Minister aware that allowances for Ministers and Assistant Ministers have been increased? (b) If the answer to "a" above is in the affirmative, when was the National Assembly Renumeration Act amended to allow for such increases? view
  • 31 May 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, surely, the Government's job is to protect the poor and innocent workers in Kenya. Mr. Duri reported that matter to the labour office. Why would that poor unemployed Kenyan, who does not have any money to hire a lawyer, sue for compensation when the Government is there? Could the Assistant Minister take action and ensure that Mr. Duri is paid his rightful dues? view
