  • 2 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, Temporary Deputy Speaker for the opportunity. I know time is running out. I have two points to mention; indeed, in this country, so many victims normally do not get justice because of the environment in which cases are reported. It is high time the environment is made proper. view

  • 18 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: As a politician, I have come to understand the intricacies of the job to the point that when you are working under this job, you hardly get any opportunity to build or even invite or pay attention to your personal wellbeing or personal investments. In that regard then, it is only fair that after retirement, people who serve, be it in a political office or even in any other office, should be given some money or benefits to enable them live a dignified life. view
  • 18 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: As if that is not enough, those political offices, as I have come to know now, are very stressful. Therefore, I support this Bill because of the specific reason that people need to live dignified ... view
  • 18 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: would-be Presidents later in life to even attempt going into politics. Even now, our friends keep on asking us whether it is worth the job that we are doing; and we tell them that it may not be in monetary terms, but when you look at the vision and mission you have to serve humanity in that respect, it is. Therefore, to me, I think politics aside, this is a very good Bill and it should get the support of all of us so that people can live a dignified life in retirement. When it comes to the issue that ... view
  • 11 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for the opportunity. I also want to congratulate my colleague, hon. Sang for a wise thought to bring this Bill. We know for sure that health issues in this country are a challenge, due to the vastness of the country and also the unavailability of enough medical personnel. We find that several people have set up what they call home-care practices. In most cases people who have got patients with issues to do with physiotherapy sometimes fall prey to these businessmen, who say they are offering home-care facilities. In most cases, they send physiotherapists ... view
