7 Jun 2016 in National Assembly:
Thirdly, we were told that the money for servicing this loan will not come from the taxpayer. Even if the money will come from the KPA, this money should be used for more urgent projects. Finally, since Phase 1 of the Second Container Terminal has not been fully utilised, let us consider and be frugal in using our resources. We should not be very generous in approving loans that will burden the future generations of this country. So, despite the appreciation of the support that we have had from Japan and the good relationship that we have, I oppose this ...

28 Apr 2016 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I support that we use the word “undermine” in this clause. I think it is strong enough. “Substantial prejudice” cannot be measured. This is to protect the security of the State. Even though people demand freedom of access to information, it is important to protect the security of the nation. I request my sister to leave out the use of “substantive prejudice”.

20 Apr 2016 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker and Dr. Ottichilo. I strongly support this Motion. It is important to inculcate the culture of cleanliness among our people. If we have three or four hours every Thursday dedicated to cleaning the environment, and we have 20 million of us, we can have so many man-hours to be able to keep our environment clean. We can have our schools, churches and neighbourhoods work together to maintain a clean environment.

24 Nov 2015 in National Assembly:
Hon. Deputy Speaker, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to add my voice in support of the petition on sports. This country is known worldwide because of our sporting prowess. The athletes of this country have done well. We are very saddened by what is going on at Riadha House. We have been hearing about corruption, which is affecting this country’s athletes. This petition should be given the seriousness that it deserves. Let proper investigations be conducted so that our athletes, who have continued to do this country proud, can be protected from corruption. Let this country continue ...

14 Oct 2015 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this Bill. I begin by thanking the Member for bringing the amendments. Heavy loads affect people’s health, although that effect comes much later in life. Even traditionally among our people, people know that when they overwork themselves when they are younger, the effects come much later in life. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I really thank the Member for bringing out the details of taking care of our people. With respect to training, I would like to point out that there are very few people who are trained in occupational therapy ...

1 Jul 2015 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. At the outset, I support this Bill. It is important to give democracy room in all areas of this country. The big parties do not practise democracy. I talk from experience. In the last Parliament, I was rigged out in Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party and I went to United Democratic Movement (UDM). I was the only member of UDM in that Parliament. In this Parliament, it was very difficult but Kenya African National Union (KANU) that I represent in this Parliament--- We are about five or six Members ...

used to fund political parties is public money. Let people get their parties supported and then we will have true democracy in this country. I thank you for giving me this opportunity. I strongly support this Bill. It is the way to go. Thank you and God bless.

18 Feb 2015 in National Assembly:
Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I would like to say that this issue of insecurity is a very sad one. We are ashamed as Members of Baringo County because people are wondering why no solution has been found. The 25,000 people from Baringo South have moved to Mogotio Constituency causing pressure on food, water, schools and other essential services. I would like to suggest that we equip our boarding schools in these areas. Secondly, we enforce the original boundaries. Thirdly, we mark all the animals that belong to the four communities that are in Baringo County so that everybody ...
