Why there are only limited number of auctioneers who sell tea yet this is a free market: There are currently 12 brokers registered by the Tea Directorate to operate at Mombasa auction. However, tea regulations allow qualifying firms to be registered as and when they apply. The existence of adequate tea volume to be traded is also another factor that informs the number of brokerage firms in the auction. view

What will the Government do to ensure that they are reopened in the same manner that other industries have been saved, for instance, the sugar industry? I want us to look at Article 181 of the Constitution which states:- “A county governor may be removed from office on any of the following grounds- (a) gross violation of this Constitution or any other law; (b) where there are serious reasons for believing that the county governor has committed a crime under the national or international law; (c) abuse of office or gross misconduct; or (d) physical or mental incapacity to perform the functions of office of the county governor.”. view
