• 28 Jul 2021 in Senate: There are several constitutional commissions that were established by the Kenya Constitution, 2010. They include the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) and now the SRC. view

It does a review of public servants, analyses the amount of money they need to be paid and makes a recommendation to the National Treasury and the National Assembly. It is usually involved in collecting bargaining agreements (CBAs) between unions and the Government. view

As a result, there will be no development, no roads, no new hospitals and bursaries. All monies would be going to pay recurrent expenditure. You would also find a situation where public wages constitute a very huge proportion of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The Government then becomes so expansive while the private sector is crowded. view
