  • 18 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: areas. They can walk for long distances. I have seen a KPR who walked for almost 200 kilometres while protecting the lives of innocent Kenyans. I have seen a KPR who has lived in the bush for a whole month. You know those cattle raids happen at odd hours – almost 3.00 a.m. at night. When will a policeman wake up at that time? The KPRs are already there. If a raid happens at that particular time, they will always respond even without vehicles. The only thing that we are doing is to ease the process by supporting them and ... view
  • 16 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I stand to oppose the reduction of the period. You understand very well that when this Motion will be approved, men will suffer the liability. Even you, it means that some of your property will go away. So, you need time to think and consult. view
  • 10 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I want to thank the Mover of this Motion. I come from an area that is arid. The people we are mentioning, for example, Pattni, were not born yesterday. Those guys have been there since then. Moreover, judgements have been delivered. Before the Jubilee Government, there was the Grand Coalition Government. The Motion they are bringing now was supposed to be dealt with by the last Government. I have realized that issues that were so difficult in the past Government were deferred waiting for the Jubilee Government. view
  • 9 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: To affirm that, teachers have been striking for the last 15 years. The likes of hon. Midiwo were there. They were supposed to settle the issue of teachers. view

  • 9 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, moreover, the reason why I oppose this Motion is as follows: You have heard from the Report that most of the people who have been mentioned are deceased - may they rest in peace. Sincerely speaking, we are dealing with an issue that is being handled by the Judiciary. This case is already before the Judiciary. If I am not wrong, I remember that the Judiciary declared that the Report of the--- view
  • 19 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Honourable Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support this Motion. There is a dictum that says educating a girl is like educating the whole world. So, you can imagine if we provide a conducive environment for girls in schools, how many worlds will we have educated? I come from a pastoralist community, specifically the view
  • 7 May 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I take this opportunity to introduce myself, but I am not making a maiden speech. I am hon. James Lomenen from Turkana South. view
