Speaker, given that the revenue shared are projections, it creates a fiscal risk that could necessitate borrowing, and the national Government budget implementation process will be negatively affected. Ideally, any revenue shortfall should be shared equitably between national and county governments. Hon. I want to clearly state that even in our statement, we have said that the ones that have been identified are the ones that did not inherit adequate facilities from the defunct local authorities. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I beg to move the following Procedural Motion: THAT, notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 120, this House resolves to reduce the publication period of the Division of Revenue Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 7of 2021) from seven days to one day. The reason we are doing this without, of course, anticipating the recess that we will proceed to, we would really want to process the Division of Revenue Bill before we proceed for the short recess.
