It is a fact that the Supreme Court has the final say on the results of a presidential election. So, if the process of identifying and appointing judges to the Supreme Court is skewed from the word go, you are setting ground for anarchy. The Nigerian transition has been peaceful because of the faith and confidence Nigeria citizens have in their institutions. One sure way of making Kenyans lose faith in the institution of the Judiciary is through these nominations. Therefore, I plead with my colleagues that we should return these names, in good faith, to the President and let him bring to us some new names, which we will be acceptable to Kenyans.
