  • 22 Sep 2021 in Senate: If we continue like this, Cabinet Secretaries will begin to say that we have no powers to summon them and they can come when they want. In fact, they are already conducting themselves as if we do not have those powers. When we call them, they will say Senate does not have those powers. The excuse they keep on repeating is that Senate has no responsibilities when it comes to the national Government. However, the Constitution is clear and does not make distinction between the powers of the National Assembly and Senate or their Committees to summon CSs. view
