However, I wish to say that the integrity and the authority of the Senate on the issue of oversight depend on the County Public Accounts and Investments Committee. This Committee is central and key because it not only performs the oversight role of the Senate over the county governments, but is also an authority that derives specifically from the work of the Controller of Budget and the Auditor General.
