Hon. Speaker, indeed, the Statement was tabled, but the report has not been tabled. The report is on how ESA acquired 50 per cent share holding of KPRL and other details. We were supposed to hold a joint committee sitting with the PIC, notwithstanding the Statement sought by the Member. Perhaps, hon. Speaker, you can give us some guidelines or direction on how we will proceed on the matter, because, understandably, we are told the PIC is on it as I speak right now and, apparently, they are not involving our committee.

Hon. Speaker, I personally take exception to a comment that was made by hon. Mbadi. Of course, he was on a point of order. So, I could not raise another point of order. He said that my Committee may not have been the committee to come up with an agreement between the stakeholders and the Committee. What perhaps he does not know is that we spent 10 hours, trying to sort out those issues between the Committee on one hand and the Media Owners Association and other stakeholders on the other hand. future. Indeed, there was a move to postpone yesterday’s debate. If we cannot raise a quorum of 50 Members in the morning, how are we going to get a two-thirds majority to pass this Bill? Such are the issues on which we must agree. We do not have to lie to ourselves. We must be able to be truthful to ourselves. Hon. Speaker, Sir, I would wish to second this Motion. I would say that, if you look at today’s Order Paper, it actually has a lot of business ahead of us, and I feel it is prudent for us to make sure that, perhaps, before we adjourn today we are able to finalize all the items that are contained in today’s Order Paper. Therefore, I second.
