Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am serving the Government but, unfortunately, the same Government has not provided any money as at now. But we are expecting that, at the end of the day, the Ministry of Finance will provide us with some money to buy maize. The Government will open the National Cereals and Produce Board buying centres as it normally does in other parts of the country during harvest time.

So, there is no political consideration at all! We do our work professionally as per the recommendations of the technical team.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to assure the hon. Member that, already, the Ministry of Agriculture has put down all the structures to ensure that the farmers of Nyatike can access those seeds. I want to assure him that by 15th March, 2010, the farmers will have adequate and sufficient seeds for that region.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply: My Ministry, the through Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC), will treat each case reported on its own merit and in cases where individual clients fall into extreme distress for reasons beyond their control, the following three options will be considered:- (a) Rescheduling of the loan where the business option is still operational. (b) Rescheduling where it is realised that the enterprise needs fresh injection of capital to rehabilitate the incomplete project. (c) Through negotiation with the client where the client needs more time for the repayment. Thank you.
