  • 13 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: his Committee reduced the amount that we should have got from Kshs42 billion to Kshs33 billion. Now that Ms. Isabel is there, I am sure he will not reduce the amount. view
  • 13 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, let me clarify. I was trying to justify the point I was making. The point is that our NG-CDF which is supposed to be 2.5 per cent of the National revenue was reduced from Kshs42 billion to Kshs33 billion by the Committee chaired by friend. He is somebody I respect because he was the only Member who was elected unopposed. He should be proud of himself. Therefore, he should add the money that he was supposed to give to the NG-CDF. Finally, the Constituencies Development Committee of this House should work closely with the ... view

  • 7 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I thought the objective of the Leader of the Majority Party was that we do not want to waste time on something unconstitutional. But we have taken more time than we would have taken if it had been moved, discussed and amendments that have been recommended by Hon. Kaluma included. We would have done that. view
  • 6 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support and commend the Committee that has come up with this Report. They have done a thorough vetting process and I should thank them. I hope all of our committees will be doing this kind of thing whenever they are given that kind of job. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only. Acertified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 6 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: I rise to support on three grounds. One, the people who have been recommended are highly qualified. They are people of integrity. They are professionals. So, I believe strongly and I have read the comments by these nominees that they are going to embark on reforms in our police force. Two, I urge this House maybe to demand from the Committee to do some monitoring and evaluation on the welfare of our police force and come up with a report so that we can see whether the resources we are allocating to the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National ... view
