  • 27 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me a chance to contribute to this important Motion. The Nile River should serve all the states that contribute to its waters. Kenya is a major contributor. Remember all our rivers that get into Lake Victoria contribute towards the Nile River waters. We have taken steps in the Mara, Sondu, Kuja and Chachani Rivers to preserve and protect them. People who use the waters of River Nile the most are Egyptians and Sudanese. They should contribute some resources for the protection and preservation of these rivers for them to use that water. ... view
  • 27 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: This should also give us an idea how we can preserve our rivers in the country. For example, I understand the Ewaso River is about to dry. The Government should invest in it so that it continues being there. view

  • 26 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker for giving me a chance to contribute to this important Motion. First, I support the Motion as moved by the Leader of the Majority Party. We have been entrusted with the welfare of the people of Kenya as their representatives. We have failed in our role if we allow this country to degenerate into chaos. • 26 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: am from a community which, if there was violence in this country, would suffer the most. We live in every corner of this country. We provide for ourselves. We do not depend on manna from heaven. We do not depend on handouts from the Government. We work for our livelihoods. Therefore, we are in every corner of this country. Last time when we had violence, many of our people were killed and lost their property. We will not allow our people to be killed again in this country even if it means we take up arms. We have the rule ... view
  • 14 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me a chance to contribute for the first time in the 12th Parliament. On the Presidential Speech, the President was very clear that he wants this country to be united. He was very clear that he wants this country to be developed so that we can move to the next stage, from the Third World to the First World. Hon. Speaker, what the President is asking Kenyans to do is not something which has not happened elsewhere. For those who know how Singapore jumped from a Third World country to First World country with ... view
  • 14 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: I am particularly concerned about the National Assembly Members. A week ago when we were being sworn in, Members of the other side were told not to come and be sworn in. However, later on they realised that they might be rendered --- view

  • 14 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: our Speaker participated in electing their Speaker in the Senate yet they cannot see that. Are they kids to be directed by the people in the Upper House? I thought the National Assembly is more superior to the other House we created recently yet they are giving them directions here. I want the National Assembly to keep its integrity and record in this country and guide and direct this country to be a First World country in development. With those few remarks, I beg to support the President’s Speech. view
