  • 2 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also believe that the Government can establish a Disaster Preparedness Authority which can also be looking at all those causes. It should not only look at the damage that has been caused, but also at how we can avoid those particular floods. So, I support the formation of the Disaster Preparedness Authority majorly because most of the cities, towns, villages and people have suffered great damage because of the floods in our country. view
  • 2 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, we do not even think of saving the water which normally flows during those particular floods. You can imagine right now several parts of this country are almost facing drought and yet, a few months ago, those areas were flooded. • 20 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, those are serious allegations and the hon. Member should withdraw and apologize. I am not defending Mr. Chinedu. What I am talking about is why the Government should spend a lot of money on such useless excursions? I also do not believe that this country needs to have such people in the streets. Drug dealers and all those other criminals belong to jail. I do not believe in having them around; I only felt that we need to put these people in jail. Lock them ... view
  • 20 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I want to conclude by saying that our country needs to look at its priorities. Just the other day also we had to spend a lot of time removing unnecessary view

  • 19 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker, Sir. Some of us are also worried because of the explanation given. Although we know English, we are not Englishmen. My worry is when we talk about re-allocating and reduction at the same time. My other worry is that the money we are talking about was allocated to the constituencies before the creation of the new constituencies. We are talking about money which has already been committed to projects. When we are told that we will be rolling out this money in the next financial year, it means that we will only be rolling out money ... view
