Thank you, very much Hon. Speaker. I am rising under Standing Order No. 47(3). Since we are on this matter of reorganising the Order Paper, going by what is provided in Article 118(b) of the Constitution, I am seeking your guidance to know if we are in order to also get into the matter that is appearing on the Order Paper as item No. 10, which is a Motion on Ratification of the Economic Partnership Agreement between Kenya and the United Kingdom. I rise because I am also looking at the Treaty Making and Ratification Act which provides for ways ...

I had the opportunity to be part of a delegation that is, ACP-EU delegation from this Parliament. I fully understand how this treaty came into being from the original treaty that came from the Cotonou Agreement, where Kenya was negotiating with the EU on multi-lateral terms. If we go into this treaty, our country will have to go into a bilateral agreement with UK which has also exited from EU. So, as we look at this treaty, without having the annexes that have been listed here, I believe that the House shall be the poorer to be able to make ...

Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I applaud the magnanimity of the Mover of this Bill. I congratulate him for bringing such an amazing and revolutionary Bill. What he is addressing is critical. Because I only have one minute, in support, I can only say that this is a danger that we are trying to cure here. The mischief is rife. Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker and the opportunity to contribute to this amendment is highly appreciated. I rise to support a good friend of mine, Hon. Kassim Tandaza Sawa on this amendment that he is making to the Crops Act. It is very clear that Hon. Tandaza did not waste his school fees at Alliance High School. In fact, in moving this Bill, we were very impressed by the amount of research that had gone into his effort to amend the Crops Act and for that, I must commend Hon. Kassim Tandaza Sawa. I have to say ...

By relooking at our agriculture, we shall be speaking to the issue of the Big Four Agenda. In my critique of the Big Four Agenda, I understand it is important that we take cognisance of the need for health, urban housing and general housing. I believe that if we took agriculture, we shall be addressing all the other three Big Four Agenda items by just investing in agriculture. If we invested well in agriculture, our people who are predominantly farmers, will get an extra buck and with that, the population will pay a bit more for their health insurance thus ...
