Those are areas that the select committee had no competence in. It would have been better to recognize the dictum that the absence of a technical verdict of guilty does not mean you are innocent. They probably overstretched on that. Be that as it may, it is a small price to bear given the conclusions that they had.   • 25 Aug 2016 in National Assembly: In evaluating the commissioners, there were various things including issues of integrity. I want to comment on that but not in respect of the commissioners. If we demand of others that they should meet certain standards of integrity, we should expect all of us to comply with those standards of integrity as outlined in the Constitution. What frustrates me is that nowhere in the Report is it mentioned that even those participants in elections, including candidates who are not clean will not be allowed.
