However, I am aware that Kshs152,400, being proceeds of an impromptu Harambee meant for the Teso Youth Development Programme were deposited at the Teso District Treasury, but was later withdrawn by the depositors on 27th July, 2005, to be used for the then existing youth programmes. 3696 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES September 5, 2007 (b) If the money was misappropriated, we advise the hon. As I have already said, it was withdrawn by the same people who deposited it at the district treasury. We have a letter showing the people who withdrew it. view

When it was deposited at the DC's office, we were not told which those youth groups were. When the depositors came for the money, they did not tell us about their youth groups. They just came and took the money that they had raised for their youth groups. view
