I am sure if they could use that window, they will be able to make orders of the flags they require and they will be supplied along with the other equipment that they need. view

• 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is true that we promised that we would send police officers to support the chiefs in matters of enhancing security. However, we also said that it would be up to the leaders in those areas to get appropriate accommodation for the officers. Once they are ready, they should tell us and we will post the officers to those areas. Many areas have done so, and we have posted the officers as required. view

• 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, what we promised the chiefs was a comprehensive scheme of service, which we did implement. It did take into account promotion or upgrading of all of them from the grades they were serving on to the next grades. That means, therefore, that their salaries improved alongside the enhancement of the salaries that we did. Of course, other allowances for chiefs and assistant chiefs are considered together with those of other civil servants serving in the country. view

That scheme of service took into account their promotions and also enhancement of their salaries. If it is so required, I will bring a copy of that scheme of service to this House, so that hon. Members can get from it the specific amounts of money that were increased for each grade. In fact, I have a copy of the same with me here, which I now table. view
