  • 27 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, from the answer that the Assistant Minister has given, it is clear that although these boards have been constituted, they are not operational not only in Njoro District but also in the whole country. Could he consult the other Ministry to make sure that the members of these boards are well catered for, so that they can attend meetings of the boards? view
  • 27 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, while I appreciate the answer given by the Minister, I would like to remind her that there is another water project from Loitokitok to Nairobi and the residents of Loitokitok have never benefited from it. How many people will benefit from the project from Gatukunyu to Ng’ethu and when will they start receiving this water? view
  • 20 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, a national ID card is a very important document in this nation. Many students when they leave school do not have any other opportunity to get this important document. Could the Minister make it compulsory for all primary school leavers and secondary school leavers to be issued with ID cards, so that when they leave the learning institutions, they do not go looking for this important document? view

  • 19 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Why is the Minister misleading this House and the nation at large that there is a food crisis in our country and yet we know very well that in Rift Valley food is rotting in stores because the Government cannot afford to pay the farmers? This is the case and yet people are dying in northern Kenya? Is the Minister in order to mislead this House that we have food crisis in Kenya? view
  • 6 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government to tell this House, now that KKV I was a failure to the nation and even to the youth, whether he will divert the money that he will get to the relevant Ministries so that the youth can be employed directly and permanently by the Ministries. view
  • 5 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to request for a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Forestry and Wildlife regarding the Menengai Forest. I would like to know whether the Minister is aware that the forest has been invaded and all the trees destroyed. Secondly, the Minister should confirm whether he is aware of a certain gate entering into the forest and whether he has authorized some officers to collect cess from all the visitors who are visiting the forest. Is that money accounted for? I have been there and I have seen--- view
  • 5 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to request for a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Forestry and Wildlife regarding the Menengai Forest. The forest has been invaded and all the trees destroyed. What measures has he taken to stop the destruction because we will have no forest? Secondly, a cess is being collected by officers from the Ministry without giving any receipts. They promise the visitors that they would get their receipts as they come down from the crater but when they go down, they do not get any receipts. view
  • 5 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is okay. view
  • 30 Mar 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. From the mood of the House, many Members feel that the Assistant Minister is not fully responding to their grievances. With all due respect, I request for your ruling as to whether this Question can be deferred? Is it possible for it to be referred to the relevant Committee, so that it can find out exactly what is going on, on the ground? view
