  • 6 May 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. This is a very serious issue. We are talking about families that have been left poor and they are not thieves. The Assistant Minster has not given us a single answer today. Could I beg you to defer this Question so that we can get proper answers? I beg you! I beg you! view
  • 5 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Livestock Development the following Question by Private Notice. My question to the Minister is this: You have said that the Rinderpest disease has been eliminated, and ... view
  • 5 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the quarantine line was put in place during the colonial era, in 1940, and for all those years, about 70 years, the people of northern Kenya still suffer. It looks like the bottleneck here is the World Organization for Animal Health. Could the Minister clarify whether we have a local office of this body in Nairobi? If we have one, they should adequately address that issue. view
  • 24 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, sport is a very crucial part of our children's growth. Considering that youth form 60 per cent of the population, could the Ministry consider transferring the Extra-curriculum Activity Fund to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports so that they can quickly administer how these projects are done and give it prominence in that Ministry? view
  • 18 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it has been in our policy documents since 1963 to make sure that every household has access to clean water. That target was missed in 2000. Our next millennium development goal is supposed to be 2015. Can we meet that goal? view
  • 18 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Environment and Mineral Resources:- view
  • 18 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: (a) what measures he is taking to combat the continuing danger of unrecycled substance pollution as a result of increased dependency on petroleum-based products such as plastic water bottles and plastic bags; and, view
  • 18 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: (b) what interventions he has put in place to reduce this dependency and support recycling efforts. view
